| This past weekend, ten members of Seneca Hose participated in the annual Getzville Rapid Intervention Training (GRIT). This two-day hands-on course focuses on FAST or RIT skills and challenges participants both physically and mentally with scenarios based on real firefighter line of duty deaths.
Firefighters from across Erie County, and as far away as the City of Geneva, took part in this year’s event.
The Seneca Hose firefighters who attended the training were Captain Nick Sikorski, Lieutenant David Tasca, Lieutenant Kate Anderson, Firefighter Zach Quinn, Firefighter Noel Merced, Firefighter Devin Talty, and Firefighter Sam Jaworski. Chiefs Seufert and Conley, along with Firefighter Janicki, served as members of the instructional staff. |
