Paratech Strut Training

Seneca Hose members recently completed comprehensive training in vehicle stabilization and air bag operations.
During the hands-on session, crews practiced techniques for securing vehicles involved in accidents, creating a safe and controlled environment for both patients and responders. Town Wide Training

The morning started with each department displaying features of their district's apparatus, including specialized tools and equipment.

Overnight Rollover on Seneca Street
March 18
Shortly before 3 a.m., Seneca Hose Chief 9 and Rescue 5 responded to a rollover accident on Seneca Street, located near the Rt 90 overpass.

Ladder 6 responds to multiple mutual aid Structure Fires

Wednesday afternoon, Ladder 6 and Engine 1 responded mutual aid to Union for a working structure fire with exposure issues.
Sunday evening, while members were at the station for an officers meeting, crews quickly upstaffed Ladder 6 and responded with Reserve for the confirmed structure fire with reports of people trapped. Ladder goes Mutual Aid to Vigilant

Ladder 6 was requested on the second alarm mutual aid to Vigilant Fire Company for a fire in an attached garage. Upon arrival, units found heavy fire conditions in the garage of an occupied residence, with the flames spreading to a neighboring house.

Coffee Bar Overhaul

In most Firehouses across the United States, the kitchen table, or back of the truck bay, is a place where Firefighters solve the world’s problems over a cup of coffee.

Working “On Air”

During tonight’s drill, members practiced working "On Air," which refers to using air-powered tools.
The training included an overview of the Paratech working air cart, Paratech airbags, and all pneumatic tools found on Rescue 5.
