Fast Defibrillation and CPR: A Lifesaver!

Recently, Seneca Hose and Winchester were alerted to an unresponsive individual at a local fitness facility. Seneca Hose firefighters were preparing to begin a Duty Shift and were on scene, rendering patient care, within 3 minutes of the call being received by West Seneca Dispatchers.
CPR was initiated by a bystander and an AED was used by Seneca Hose to successfully deliver one shock to the patient. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Blizzard Truck Fire at 2400 Seneca Street
January 15
Seneca Hose Chief 9 and Engine 1, along with Union Chief 9, Engine 1, and Truck 2 handled a pickup truck well involved at 2400 Seneca Street early this morning.
Initial reports from P.D. and building occupants reported an exposure to the building. No exposure was found and the fire was extinguished by crews on scene.

2023 Year End Statistics

2023 has come and gone, and again we have set a record for calls answered this year. We finished the year with 1045 calls for service, this is a 2.2% rise from last year. We also welcomed 6 new members to our ranks and created a new way for folks to join with our Duty Shift Program. The big news has arrived, West Seneca Fire District #5 has placed an order to replace our 1993 Simon Duplex/RD Murray Engine 2 with a Seagrave Fire Apparatus Marauder Pumper!!
